‘Economic development gives people a purpose’: Calls for Voice to identify ‘next step’

July 06, 2023 - 2:57PM

Great Regional Economic Aboriginal Trust Chair’s Fred Pascoe says he is “disappointed” the Albanese government has not identified economic development as part of its four-point focus for a Voice to Parliament.

“It underpins health, it underpins education – economic development gives people a purpose,” Mr Pascoe told Sky News Australia.

“We need to go to the next step and economic development allows that to happen.”
